The GS FILM has been one of Austria’s leading film and television production companies for many years. Since its foundation in 2006, more than 70 documentaries and docudramas have been produced for various TV stations in Austria and abroad, all of which have been realized to the highest technical standards.
New formats on an ongoing basis.
The focus is on films with a cultural-historical background – such as the successful series “Auf den Schienen des Doppeladlers” -, on documentaries about foreign cultures and peoples, as well as on productions about historical events, personalities and nature themes. We are constantly developing new formats, which we realize with international partners.

Gernot Stadler
Producer, Writer, Director
Gernot Stadler is a producer, director and author. After studying at the University of Vienna and the New York Film Academy, he worked for ORF for several years and founded the production company GS FILM in 2006.
Walter Grill
Material development, screenplay
Walter Grill is the author of screenplays for film and television, novels and texts for theater. He has worked on numerous productions for the alternative theater scene. In addition to completing his new novel, Walter is also co-author of the television series “The Habsburgs in Europe”. He is also working on the development of new TV formats and projects.
